Granny’s Candy Dish™ is a collection of classic hard-candy favorites — Blackberry, Butterscotch, Caramel-maple, Cherry, Cinnamon, Honey, Lemon, Peach, Peppermint, Raspberry and Vanilla Cream — finished with a glassy sheen and the perfect, nostalgic crunch. Candies are offered in assorted tins and single-flavor jars, sized for sharing or for keeping on your own kitchen candy dish.
Each candy dissolves slowly for long, flavorful enjoyment but holds enough structure for a satisfying snap.
Ethically Sourced Ingredients & Procurement Practices
We believe great candy should do good as well as taste great. Granny’s Candy Dish™ is made according to a procurement philosophy that prioritizes people and the planet:
- Sourcing with respect: Key ingredients — cane sugar, fruit purees, natural flavor extracts and cocoa butter for caramel notes — are sourced from suppliers who meet strict social and environmental standards. Wherever possible we purchase from Fairtrade-certified cooperatives and suppliers and from producers who have been independently audited for labor practices and environmental stewardship.
- Fairtrade & responsible partnerships: We prioritize long-term contracts with smallholder cooperatives and Fairtrade organizations so farmers receive stable prices, advance payments and a share of premiums for community projects (education, healthcare, water). When Fairtrade certification isn’t available locally, we work with trusted local partners to ensure comparable fair-trade principles are met: living wages, no child labor, safe working conditions, and democratic cooperative governance.
- Transparency & traceability: Every major ingredient is tracked back to its origin. We publish annual supplier summaries that show where our sugar, fruit purees and flavorings come from and the social programs funded through our partnerships.
- Environmental care: We favor organic and regenerative-farming suppliers when feasible, and require suppliers to limit harmful agrochemicals and protect soil and waterways. Packaging is designed to minimize waste (see below).
- Community reinvestment: A portion of proceeds from Granny’s Candie Dish™ supports Taste-Tacular’s Middle Georgia Community Fund, which partners with our supplier cooperatives on projects the communities choose — from school supplies to irrigation systems.
Production & Quality
- Small-batch craft: Candies are cooked in small kettles and finished to exacting temperature and humidity controls to ensure consistent clarity and texture.
- All-natural ingredients: No artificial colors, no high-fructose corn syrup, no hydrogenated oils; just carefully selected natural flavors and simple, honest ingredients. (Ingredient list and allergen information are clearly printed on every package.)
- Hand-finished: Each tin is filled and labeled by hand in our Middle Georgia facility, where we follow strict food-safety and fair-labor practices for our staff.
Packaging & Sustainability
- Recyclable & reusable: Our signature tins and glass jars are fully recyclable and designed to be reused — many customers return their tins as keepsake “candie dishes.” Where single-use materials are required, we use recycled content and avoid PVC or problematic plastics.
- Minimal waste: We optimize production runs and use recovered energy where possible to reduce our carbon footprint.
